Quiz Nights and Fun Days 2013/14
Monthly Quiz
Every last Thursday in the month is Pub Quiz Night - a 'global' rather than English based pub quiz as our members are from all over the world. Held at the White Hart we charge a nominal 100 baht per person to join in the fun - for this you get a great night's entertainment plus delicious food at half time! Prizes galore to be had with all profits going towards the club funds. Question rounds, table rounds, a music section and a 'football card' with 1,000 baht for the winner.
Sunday Fundays
We plan to repeat our 'sunday fundays' about once every 3 months - please keep your eyes peeled both here and on facebook for further details. Apart from taking everyone out for a try paddle and hopefully some racing in the boats we have the club barbecue stoked up, cold drinks to hand, volleyball on the beach, petanque, silly games and just a relaxing through a long, lazy afternoon - open to everyone!

July 10th 2013 - Phuket Lomas RUFC and Joondalup Brothers Rugby Club
Fun Race Day
the Phuket Dragons - Dragonboat Club hosted 25 youngsters from the Joondalup Brothers Rugby Club from Perth, Australia and 15 Thai lads from the local Phuket Lomas Rugby Club, brought along by Pat Cotter of Phuket Lomas. The kids were taught how to paddle a Dragon boat, given basic safety training and then split into 3 teams from where they took part in 200 metre races across the bay. From complete novices they all turned into incredibly enthusiastic and competitive paddlers under the tutelage of the club volunteers. The afternoon was supported on shore by many parents, sports coaches and club members who took advantage of the beautiful location and weather. The racing finished at 5pm followed by the announcement of the winners - team Green (well done lads!) and a barbecue on the beach. We will keep you updated of any special days and nights we plan over the coming months
